Luxury hotels and residences, sparkling nightlife, selected boutiques, aperitifs and elegant evenings. Here is the most exclusive place of relaxation and vacation in Sardinia. In particular we went to Santa Teresa di Gallura. The sea is the undisputed protagonist of Santa Teresa Gallura, a village of about five thousand inhabitants, which multiply in the summer with the arrival of tens of thousands of tourists, who animate it between aperitifs in trendy clubs and live music.

In Costa Smeralda you cannot fail to choose a luxury hotel and therefore I chose a 5-star resort, the Colonna Grand Hotel Capo Testa.

It is about an hour away from Olbia, where I disembarked after taking the night ferry from Civitavecchia.

The hotel has a cool, welcoming lobby with friendly and helpful staff. As soon as we arrived (at 8.30 a.m.) we left the documents and they immediately offered us a welcome and rich breakfast. The strong point of the hotel are the swimming pools (there are 4) and the beach reserved for customers, within walking distance. In short, do not queue to do anything or take the car you will have everything available. The beach and the sea, as you can see from the photos and videos, are truly wonderful, crystal clear water, a real natural swimming pool. There are also many beautiful swimming pools, each different and one reserved for children.

The restaurant offers a wide selection of gourmet dishes, excellent wine and a wonderful view of the sea.

The resort has 120 rooms (it’s very large), ours had a sea view, with a king size bed and a cot for little Greta.

The beach and the colors of the water are truly unique.

Among the things I recommend to do in Gallura is a visit to the Maddalena Archipelago, you will find many tours available departing from the port (5 minutes from the hotel) and returning at 18:00. The tour I chose took us first to take a photographic tour in the natural pool of the island of Budelli with the famous pink beach (beautiful), then a dip in the island of Santa Maria. We took a break having lunch on board the ferry with a good plate of pasta at the marina and immediately after in the beautiful island of Spargi. A fantastic tour, which I recommend.

Sardinia is wonderful and I am sure that next year I will return to this magical island again.
